2009 Legislative Session

The table below is a summary of the activity that occured during Louisiana's 2009 regular legislative session as it relates to alternative fuels and energy.  As you scroll down, you will notice that three significant bills were signed into law:

  • Act 217: Waste Cooking Oil/Biodiesel Production
  • Act 467 Wind/Solar Tax Credit
  • Act 469: Alternative Fuel Vehicle Tax Credit

These new incentives are summarized along with a brief introduction to Louisiana's legislative process in the following three documents compiled by the Southeast Louisiana Clean Fuel Partnership:
