The Southeast Louisiana Clean Fuel Partnership is pleased to announce it has been designated the 86th Clean Cities coalition by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Housed at the Regional Planning Commission, the Southeast Louisiana Clean Fuel Partnership works to advance the nation's economic, environmental, and energy security by supporting local decisions to adopt practices contributing to the reduction of petroleum consumption. The new coalition encompasses the parishes of Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, St. Charles, and St. John the Baptist, and is supported by the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources. Download the full press release here. Kern Studios to Pull Carnival Floats with BiodieselJanuary 11, 2008 Kern Studios is ‘greening’ Carnival 2008 by fueling their parade tractors with biodiesel.
